Sushi Den

has been on the vanguard and regarded as one of the premier sushi and Japanese restaurants in the United States since opening Christmas 1984.  Independently owned and operated, Sushi Den continually raises the bar and sets the standard for high quality cuisine.

History

Sushi Den was born in 1985 when Toshi, who had been a chef in Tokyo and Los Angeles came to Denver to start the sushi restaurant. Toshi is the heart and soul of Sushi Den. Although soft-spoken, he communicates with the senses. Sushi Den is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, and is the gathering place of Denver’s cutting edge.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Toshi continuously raises the bar and sets the standard for high quality sushi, not only in Denver but throughout the United States. The adherence to quality at Sushi Den has never wavered in all these years, a remarkable accomplishment for any restaurant. The Zagat Survey rates Sushi Den as one of the most prestigious Sushi and Japanese restaurants in the United States. Sushi Den clearly stands out from the rest of the competitors and continuously sets the standard.

Sushi Den just keeps improving; its most innovative accomplishment is flying in fresh fish from one of Japan’s largest fish markets, from the city of Fukuoka on Kyushu Island close to the Japanese hometown of Sushi Den’s founders. In 2007, Sushi Den’s sister restaurant, Izakaya Den was opened across the street and serves sushi as well as global cuisine.  In 2010, Sushi Den purchased a 6.5 acre farm in Brighton to grow its own pesticide free vegetables. They are also building an energy-efficient greenhouse, providing a solution for long-term sustainability to its Den Farm.

With an incredibly dedicated and talented staff of 100, plus family members in Denver and Japan, the Sushi Den vision has taken the restaurant to one of the top sushi restaurants in the country .

RESERVATION POLICY

Please call us at 303-777-0826 during business hours MST to make a reservation. Email reservation requests are not accepted.

» We take reservations for parties of 5 people or more on Sunday-Thursday.
» On Fri and Sat, we only accept reservations for 8 people or more before 6 pm or after 9 pm.

Sunday through Thursday

» We accept reservations for parties of 5 people or more
» We will hold your reservation only for 10 minutes after the reserved time.
» We seat only complete parties.
» We do not take reservations at the sushi bar.

Friday and Saturday

» We accept reservations for parties of 8 or more
» Reservation – before 6pm OR after 9pm.
» No reservation between 6pm and 9pm
» We will hold your reservation only for 10 minutes after the reserved time.
» We seat only complete parties.
» We do not take reservations at the sushi bar.
